today's drawing is inspired by Dominic Wilcox-Speed Creating Day 4,Shadow drawing, I am thinking instead of draw the shadow in a normal way, I could change the shadow's look, like extend the shadow by make the object stand. Also, I find my drawing needs more colours, which can make my sketch book more vivid.
I don't have much idea today, but following the drawing I drew yesterday, I kind of enjoy making with wire because this is good to use for modeling, but I also want to try out new material tomorrow to see what can explore more....
Artist Research
Dominic Wilcox works between the worlds of art, design, craft and technology to create innovative, thought provoking and surprising objects. The British artist and designer studied at The Royal College of Art, graduating in 2002. He exhibits his work internationally and has been commissioned by brands such as BMW MINI, Kelloggs and Paul Smith. His work includes the world’s first GPS shoes, a stained glass driverless sleeper car of the future and tiny sculptures balanced on the hands of watches. Thomas Heatherwick said this about Wilcox’s work ‘Dominic Wilcox’s drawings aren’t just witty and beautifully drawn, they are serious challenges to the real world to keep looking at itself with innocent eyes, wondering what else is possible.
I like the way he records everyday's speed making, which is like I am doing at this stage. this is day 5 making, I feel I really enjoy aiming my target, because planing may not that useful than making for me at this moment, I am glad that I have this opportunity to set up a plan and stick with it, because I can see myself is making something useful experiment to take further, finger crossed it can improved after 2 weeks.
