-Why use acrylic sheets again?
The first time I use laser cut with aluminium because at the beginning was consider the weight in metal material if I want to create a big piece, however, I think it cost me too much to have an experience.
-What is the propose to hang in 2 different ways?
The 2D and 3D surface is a thing I find interesting in these photos because when it is hanging flat, I feel calm and peaceful, however, when it off the wall at 45 degrees, it has More layered especially the light reflection at the back I didn’t expect it to appear, but it made me realise that acrylic sheets can have beautiful reflections.
In addition, this also made me rethink the way my artwork is arranged. I am sure that the 3D effect is closer to the effect I want the audience to see because I think the shadow under the light is also part of the window grille. At the same time, the addition of shadow also makes this work richer.
-What are these shadows?
Through last week’s tutorial with Simon, I realized that natural light sources are more suitable for the iron windows I searched for, because most of them come from the street view installations I can see everywhere, so I think it is more suitable for letting sunlight pass through outdoors than indoor exhibitions.
Therefore, I put the work on the window to understand how it integrates with the house. I think the result this time is ideal because it expresses the feeling of viewing from indoors and outdoors.
Shadow in different angles, these photos give me a picture that how can I build my next piece in a 3D way.
